Darryl A. Simms, D.M.D., a certified Prosthodontist, has always enjoyed changing patient’s lives and enhancing their quality of life.  He has been enhancing smiles since 1996.  Dr. Simms is proficient in “Smile Design” and recognizes both the functional and esthetic determinants necessary in changing a smile from ordinary to extraordinary.  His kind manner and soft touch have come to be his calling card.  He believes that dentistry can and should be practiced in a pleasant inviting atmosphere.

Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Dr. Simms moved to Connecticut in 1996.  Dr. Simms obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1993 from the University of Kentucky .  His Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree was also completed in Lexington at the University of  Kentucky College of Dentistry, in 1996.

Since then he focused his practice on preventive dentistry and educating patients on the need for good oral hygiene.  With the advent of new adhesives and resins ever changing and the public demand for cosmetic and esthetic dentistry increasing; Dr. Simms completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut College of Dentistry in 1997.  After practicing general dentistry for three years Dr. Simms left private practice for California.  Here his philosophy of only providing the best and most comprehensive treatment led him to complete a cosmetic and rehabilitative residency.  He completed a rigorous 3-year Advanced Prosthodontic residency at the Veteran’s Hospital in Los Angeles.  Upon receiving his certificate as a Specialist in Prosthodontics, he moved back to Connecticut where he continues to educate his patients on the new technologies in the dental industry.

As a Prosthodontist, Dr. Simms is accomplished in rehabilitative dentistry including comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitation, smile design with all porcelain crowns, porcelain veneers, implant dentistry, custom complete and partial dentures and fixed bridges.  With the knowledge he gained in his training and over ten year experience in performing dentistry, Dr. Simms continues to pursue excellence in all aspects of his treatment.  Dr. Simms is well respected in his community as noted by his recent appointment as President of the Manchester dental society. 

Dr. Simms has been affiliated with the Academy of General Dentistry and is a current member of the American Dental Association.  He is a member the International Congress of Oral Implantology as well as the American College of Prosthodontists.
